Suryakumar Yadav continues to make the headlines as he once again starred in Mumbai Indians' 59-run win over Delhi Capitals on Wednesday.

The MI top order collapsed early, as at one point it seemed like DC will restrict the hosts to a low total at Wankhede Stadium. However, Yadav's composed batting in the middle-order brought stability to the innings as MI went on to post 180 runs on challenging track.

SKY posted 73 runs off 43 balls in the end and remained not out to make sure his team reached the 180-run mark. The knock proved to be crucial as DC failed to chase down the total and got knocked out of the tournament. MI became the fourth team to reach the IPL 2025 playoffs.

Former cricketer-turned-commentator Sanjay Manjrekar hailed SKY's sustained brilliance in the T20 format -- calling him a “T20 great” in a post on X.

Many fans echoed Manjrekar’s admiration, but others questioned whether SKY’s domestic heroics translate to international consistency.
